Previously it was generally believed that breast tumors should be excised and histologically examined to determine their nature with certainty, but the introduction of ultrasonography in the Modified Triple Test Score for heterogeneously dense breasts in young females has the nearly same accuracy as histological examination. A prospective study was done at the Department of General Surgery in TUTH for 1 year from 24th October 2019 to 23rd October 2020. A total of 38 patients, in the age group 16 to 39 were included in the study. Among 38 patients involved in the study, three patients with scores of 9 points in the Modified Triple Test Score were found to be malignant and 35 patients scoring 7 or less were found to be benign on histopathological examination. This study showed that the Modified triple test is 100% accurate for accessing palpable breast masses in young females. Clinical examination, ultrasonography, and pathological examination are found to be 55.26%, 57.89%, and 71.05% accurate respectively for accessing palpable breast masses in young females. The modified triple test is a valid, reliable, and least invasive test, with a high degree of precision for the diagnosis of palpable breast masses in young females.
